Powell River Kings hosted Prince George Spruce Kings on Saturday, October 26, in the second of two weekend games between the BC Hockey League (BCHL) clubs at Hap Parker Arena.

Three goals from Christian Maro paced Powell River toa 5-2 win. Maro was named the game’s first star ahead of teammates Elliot Pratt, who stopped 34 of the 36 shots he faced, and Alex Loftgren, who had one goal and one assist.

Tre Peck also scored for the Kings, who led 1-0 after 20 minutes of play and 4-1 at the second intermission.

Joel Purdom, Niccolo Mansueto, Wyatt Davis, Michael Mardula, Calvin Beard, Brendan Giles and Max Jelavic recorded assists for the home team, which played in front of 637 fans at Hap Parker Arena.

Prince George won the game played 24 hours earlier.

Kings travel to the Lower Mainland this weekend for games in Chilliwack (November 1) and Langley (November 2).
