Kessler Brown scored a natural hat-trick through the first two periods, including the first Powell River U15 Kings goal just 11 seconds into the a game against Campbell River Bears on Sunday, November 24.
Bears cut the deficit to 3-2 in the second period with two shorthanded goals before Kings pushed ahead again by a wide margin. Kooper Kozmeniuk registered a hat-trick during a third period when Lucas Gruntman scored twice and Ried Stekman added a single goal.
Brown added an assist and a fourth goal late in the game as the local squad beat the Bears 10-4 at home. Gabriel Caldarone set up two of his team’s goals, as did Gruntman. One assist each was credited to Stekman, Lucas Vizzutti, Carson Laing, Jack Murphy and Trey Lingard.
U15 Kings have road games in Victoria and Juan de Fuca this coming weekend.
