Powell River U18 Kings captured a point in two games against Victoria Admirals over the weekend.

A late third-period goal by Paxton Schreiber in the first game on Saturday, November 23, resulted in a 3-3 tie and the single point. Nathan Gruntman and Jaxson Peters also scored for the Kings, who trailed 1-0 after the first period and 2-1 heading into period three.

Schreiber also helped set up a pair of goals. Lucas Wadsworth, Chase Fontaine, Reece Deeble and Tristan Hawkins had one assist each.

The next morning, Powell River outshot their opponents by nearly a two-to-one margin, but came out on the short end of a 6-3 score in spite of leading 2-1 at one point.

Weston Kolba, Fontaine and Peters scored for the Kings. Assists were credited to Schreiber, Wadsworth and Ben Belyea. Goaltender Luke Dennis stopped a penalty shot in the third period.

The team travels to southern Vancouver Island this weekend to face Peninsula Eagles on November 30 and the Admirals again on December 1.
