At approximately 8:10 pm on July 12, Texada Island RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon in the parking lot of the Texada Island Inn.
An intoxicated male got into a verbal altercation with another male and then hit him with a branch.
The 24-year-old intoxicated man was arrested for assault with a weapon and released to appear in provincial court.
