Powell River RCMP responded to 152 total calls for service from July 31 to August 6, including 10 thefts, one break and enter, three impaired driving incidents, four assaults, nine cases of mischief and eight related to mental health.
August 5; Alberni Street
Powell River RCMP responded to an alarm at Lockerroom Sports. Upon arrival, police observed that the front door had been damaged but the suspect had not gained entry to the store and had fled. Police reviewed the video surveillance and were able to identify and locate the suspect, who was arrested for mischief and released to appear in provincial court.
