Powell River RCMP responded to 148 total calls for service from July 24 to 30, including eight thefts, two break and enters, one impaired driving incident, one assault, 10 cases of mischief and 10 related to mental health.
On July 28, local police received a report from a woman that she had received multiple death threats from her former partner. The woman had recently broken up with her boyfriend and started receiving threats via phone calls and texts.
The man was located by police and arrested for uttering threats and released to appear in provincial court.
