Powell River RCMP received a report on August 4 that a vehicle parked overnight at the Eagle River bridge parking lot had been damaged extensively. The vehicle had been left in the parking lot after the owner sustained an injury and was taken to qathet General Hospital by ambulance on August 3.
Police checked the vehicle at around 4 pm on August 3 and it was secure, with no damage. Sometime overnight, between the evening of August 3 and the morning of August 4, the driver window was smashed, all four tires were slashed and vulgar graffiti was spray-painted on the hood, driver’s side and rear of the vehicle.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious or anyone with any information about this to call the detachment.
