With the upcoming new school year, Powell River RCMP is encouraging all parents, caregivers and educators to communicate with youth regarding digital literacy and online safety.

The White Hatter provides an array of free resources for caregivers and youth, including news updates, podcasts, blogs, articles and guides. August 6; Marine Avenue, 4500 block
At approximately 4:51 am, Powell River RCMP responded to a break and enter at Nitestar Galleries. The front door of the jewellery store had been smashed and multiple items were stolen from inside. Anyone with video surveillance in the area or who may have seen anything is asked to call local RCMP at 604.485.6255
August 6; Quebec Avenue
At approximately 8 am, Powell River RCMP received a report that a four-door, midsize truck had been stolen from outside a residence sometime during the night. The vehicle was later recovered near Goat Lake Main. Anyone with video surveillance in the area or who may have seen anything is asked to call local police at 604.485.6255.
