July 26; Glacier Street
At approximately 6 pm, Powell River RCMP received a report that a vehicle parked on Glacier Street had been spray-painted. The vehicle’s owner advised that there had been a dispute with a female neighbour who had subsequently threatened to destroy the vehicle. Video surveillance was reviewed, and the 80-year-old female was arrested for mischief and released to appear in provincial court.

July 30; Mowat Avenue
At approximately 7:25 pm, RCMP arrested a 45-year-old female near the intersection of Mowat Avenue and Cranberry Street. During the arrest, police located at least three bags of drugs containing well in excess of 2.5 grams per bag. Police also located a scale and a large amount of empty, small Ziploc baggies. The female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The drugs were seized and she was released to appear in court.
