Officers reported the following for July 12 to 18, 2023.

July 15; Joyce Avenue, 4900 block
At approximately 9:10 am, Powell River RCMP responded to a report that a female who had been served a trespass notice was on the property and refusing to leave. The 25-year-old woman was arrested for mischief and released to appear in provincial court.

July 18; Powell River
At approximately 4:50 am, Powell River RCMP observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed while on patrol and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, police learned that the driver was prohibited from driving and that the vehicle did not have active insurance. The 43-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while prohibited and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The driver was issued a violation ticket for driving without insurance contrary to the Motor Vehicle Act and released to appear in provincial court.
