Man arrested by Powell River RCMP for forcible confinement

At approximately 2:09 am on August 23, police responded to a report of two people yelling at each other in the driveway of a residence in the Cranberry area. The people then reportedly left in a vehicle.

Police conducted patrols and located the vehicle. After investigation, police determined that a male had forced a female, who was known to him, into the vehicle against her will and drove away. The 38-year-old male was arrested for forcible confinement and assault and released to appear in provincial court.
