VISL: Powell River and Bays United play to scoreless draw

Vancouver Island Soccer League clubs remain tied in standings

Powell River Villa hosted Bays United at Timberlane Park in Vancouver Island Soccer League action on Saturday, October 12.

Neither team scored in the match, but both secured a point in Division 1 standings. After six games played, Villa and Bays are tied for sixth with six points each. Vic West leads with 18 points from a perfect record of 6-0.

"We weren't really able to break down Bays, despite carrying most of the play, and we left points on the table," said Villa manager Chris McDonough, referring to three points being awarded for wins.

Villa travels to Vancouver Island on Sunday, October 20, to face Cowichan Axis, who are in eighth place with five points.
