In a BC Hockey League (BCHL) game where the two teams combined for 101 shots, Powell River Kings converted on far fewer opportunities than their opponents.

Cranbrook Bucks scored twice in the first 20 minutes, added five more goals in the second period and three in the third en route to a 10-3 win at home on October 21.

Maxim Potvin opened the scoring at 1:48 of the first period for the Kings, who didn’t score again until trailing 9-1 in the final frame when Parker Lalonde and Karter McNarland each found the back of the net.

Cameron Symons, Will Jones (2), Carter Cochrane, Anthony Lucarelli and Lalonde helped set up the Powell River goals.

Final shot totals were 56-45 in favour of the hosts. Attendance at Western Financial Place was 2,633.

Kings are back in action tonight (October 22), at Cominco Arena in Trail.
