Powell River Kings continued to prepare for the upcoming BC Hockey League (BCHL) season with an exhibition game in Trail on Thursday, September 14.
Eli Friedman scored the only goal of the first period, giving the Kings a 1-0 after 20 minutes. Trail equalized and then went ahead 2-1 in the second period, before Alexi Van Houtte-Cachero knotted the score at two before intermission.
Trail dominated the third period at Cominco Arena, outscoring Powell River 5-1 to win 7-3. Adam Mendelson scored the third goal for the visitors.
Kings face Cranbrook Bucks tonight (September 15) in preseason action, also in Trail.
