Preseason kicks off for Powell River Kings

BC Hockey League club wins one of two weekend games in Lower Mainland

Powell River Kings' forward Anthony Lucarelli scored the third of three second period goals in Powell River Kings' 4-1 win over Langley Rivermen on September 10.

Powell River Kings split a pair of weekend road games to open the preseason portion of their 2023/2024 BC Hockey League (BCHL) schedule.

Tre Peck and Zander Stewart scored first and second period goals respectively for the Kings in Coquitlam on September 9, tying the game of both occasions. After a scoreless third period, the Express notched the game winner 40 seconds into overtime for a 3-2 win.

The following day in Langley, Powell River defeated the Rivermen 4-1. Jace Harder scored twice for the Kings while Anthony Lucarelli and Kailus Green had one goal each.

Kings continue preseason play in Trail on Thursday, September 14.
