Golfers save while supporting a good cause

Flowers are blooming and the weather is improving—sure signs for golfers to swing into savings with the BC Lung Association’s Golf Privilege Club® Membership Book.

“Our membership book saves golfers hundreds of dollars for less than the price of one round of golf,” said Judy Logan, BC Lung Association volunteer director for Powell River. “It’s also a great way for golfers to pay less and play more while supporting the lung association’s work to improve lung health in British Columbia.”

For only $35, the membership book entitles golfers to discounts at more than 120 courses across BC and Washington State, including Myrtle Point Golf Course, as well as discount golf travel throughout North America. All proceeds go to the association’s various programs and services.

Founded to fight tuberculosis, the association today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on tobacco control, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, environmental health and air quality. It also specializes in patient support programs, community services and advanced medical research.

By using the book, golfers are supporting the one in five British Columbians who are living with breathing problems. In order to purchase the book, golfers can go online or call 1.800.665.5864.
