Powell River Canadian Tire Atom Development Kings continued their winning ways this past weekend with a convincing 5-2 victory over Comox Valley Chiefs at Powell River Recreation Complex.
The team has been very impressive this season. Heading into the Christmas break, the Canadian Tire Kings have a perfect record in Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association league play, racking up wins in their first six games while compiling an impressive overall record with 18 wins and only four losses so far this year.
According to team staff, this group of nine- and 10-year-old players has worked extremely hard and continues to improve in all aspects of their game. Their level of play has impressed many, and their solid team game has made it very difficult on their opponents.
The team will take a break over holidays but will be back on the ice early January when league play starts up again. The Canadian Tire Kings look forward to continuing their two-month unbeaten streak far into the new year.
