Powell River Kings travelled to Duncan on Friday, December 20, to face Cowichan Valley Capitals in the final BC Hockey League (BCHL) game of 2024 for both clubs.
Michael Mardula scored the lone goal in the third period for the Kings, who trailed 3-0 after the first period and 6-0 following 40 minutes of play. The final score was 6-1.
Kings host the Capitals for a pair of games to start the new year. Game time on Friday, January 3, is 7 pm. The next day, puck drop is scheduled for 5 pm.
