Bob was born in Saskatchewan, but Powell River was always home to him. He was raised in the Shinglemill and never strayed far from the lake. His passion for life, his family and his community defined who he was and he was so proud of all Powell River offered him in life.
Bob passed peacefully with his family around him on June 29 in Comox. He had an opportunity to say goodbye to those he loved and who loved him deeply. He is survived by his wife Joan, his daughters and grandchildren.
People who knew him will agree he lived life on his own terms, he chose to die on his own terms and make his peace with his maker when they met.
Bob had requested he be remembered in Powell River. His celebration of life is planned but is awaiting Joan’s stability as she adjusts to his passing and her own health.
