Patricia (Pat) Kelly passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024.
Pat was born in Limerick, Ireland, in 1933. She came to Canada in 1965 as a volunteer teacher for the Catholic church in Fort St. John. She then moved to Powell River in 1968, where she taught for many years and met her late husband, John Kelly.
Pat also lived and taught on Texada Island, and in Westbridge and Victoria. She was always a warm, positive and kind person with a little wild, adventurous streak.
Pat is survived by her children Deirdre Kelly and Owen Kelly, their partners and her grandchildren (Torin and Bryjna Kelly and William and Jonathan Joy). She is also survived by her sister Helen Stokes, sister-in-law Maureen O’Neill and many nieces and nephews in Ireland. She will also be greatly missed by many friends around the world.
