It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Buddy Smith, after a two-year battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Ken (Jen) and daughter Shelley (James), grandchildren Jamie, Taylor, Keelan and Abigail, and great-grandchildren Wren and Riggs.
Bud was born in Vancouver and came to Powell River when he was 12. He spent his working life on Texada and retirement in Powell River. He loved all sports and truly enjoyed travelling in his retirement years.
We would like to thank Dr. Awopetu and all the nurses from palliative care who took such great care of Bud.
