It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward (Eddie) Allan Danyluk, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 59.
Eddie was born in Powell River on November 3, 1963, to Ed and Valerie Danyluk. He is survived by his father, brother Quinn, sister-in-law Amanda and nephew Garin. He also leaves behind his wonderful caregivers and extended family at Joyce House. Their incredible warmth, caring and support for Eddie forged deep and loving relationships.
Eddie loved calendars and dates. Once he knew your birthday, he would never forget and could tell you what day of the week it would fall on this year - or years from now. He always had a supply of calendars close at hand.
While he never asked for much, for the past 14 years, the only thing he ever wanted at Christmas was a personalized calendar with a series of photos of Garin from the past year. He enjoyed his walks and was generally laser-focused on getting to his destination, which was often Tim Hortons, where he would enjoy a coffee and an apple fritter. He certainly knew what he liked and would adamantly stick to it!
He was a passionate Canucks fan. Regardless of how the team was playing, he would always want to watch a game and cheer them on. One of his last days was getting to enjoy a Canucks' game at Rogers Arena.
