We are sorry to announce David’s passing. He has gone onto Heaven to live with Jesus, and his son Neil, his parents and siblings.
David lived in Powell River from 1966 to 1975, in which time he met his loving wife Nola and had three children: Neil in 1969, Stephen in 1972, and Rachel in 1973.
Dave built many homes and the Beach Gardens with his brother Terry. He also worked for the department of highways for a few years. Dave became a Christian in 1970 and worked with Crusaders and the bus ministry. We left Powell River in 1975 and returned in 1992 to manage Westview Garden apartments until 1999.
Dave was predeceased by his parents Adam and Pearl, five siblings Barb, Jeanie, Nancy, Billy and Terry, two nephews Billy and Lance, his son Neil, and also his in-laws Jack and Vi Roberts. Left to mourn are his wife Nola; son Stephen (Nicole); daughter Rachel (Jon Shergold); daughter-in-law Kim; eight grandchildren Nat (Kate), Josh (Nicole), Kendra (Chris), Grace (Trent), Abigail (Christian), Libby, Colby and Connor; seven great-grandchildren Dominick, Braden, Brooke, Novalee, Neil, Beau and Harley; his brother Brian (Betty); two sisters-in-law Brenda and Anne; Nola’s sister and brother Gail and Mike Murphy and Terry and Karen Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
