It is with deep sadness we share that Bonnie Elaine Gentry passed away on February 22, 2024, in Sechelt, BC, at the age of 60. She was born on September 2, 1963, in Powell River to Lena (Helen) Klaus and Gilbert Gilmore Gentry.
Bonnie, known for her great sense of humour, cherished moments with her family and the tranquility of the outdoors. She spent many years caring for others both in her personal and professional life.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters Shawna and Carlene, siblings Wayne, Linda, Deane, Donna, Ed and Robert, many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins, and her in-law family, Scott, John, Brent, Moyra and Arthur Palm. She was preceded in death by her parents Lena and Gilbert, siblings Mel, Rick and Shawn.
Bonnie was a special person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the stories and moments shared by those whose lives she touched.
In honouring her wishes, there won't be a formal service. However, we invite you to share your memories, photos, stories, and condolences on her Facebook page, which we will be memorializing.
A special thank-you from her family to Deane, who provided loving care and comfort to Bonnie throughout her illness and until her final days. She also greatly appreciated all the care given to her by her health professionals both in the home and at the hospital.
