Cody Windsor, aged 82, passed away in Powell River, BC, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Alongside his immediate family members, Cody relocated from his birthplace of Turner Valley, AB, to Powell River.
For over 35 years, Cody dedicated his working life as a supervisor for MacMillan Bloedel and as a volunteer RCMP auxiliary.
Cody is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Maxine, son Ken (Patricia) Windsor, daughter Dawne (Wayne) Budgell, and was preceded in death by his son Leonard (Deborah) Windsor. He leaves behind a family legacy of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Cody loved fishing, camping, long walks, and a solid WWF match. He was often found whistling a tune or belting out a good hymn. He was the life of every gathering and never short of a good joke. He will be missed by friends, family and his church community, which he faithfully served for countless years.
The family extends its gratitude to the doctors, nurses and care aids at ECU. Your dedication is deeply appreciated.
In honouring Cody’s memory, the family finds solace in the words of Revelations 21:4 (NLT):
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
