In loving memory of Barbara Ann (Fairbairn) Ouellette.
Gone too soon.
It is with sadness that we say good-bye to Barbara Ouellette, who passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family.
Barb was predeceased by her father Alex, her mother Violet, her sister Joyce and her brother Alan. She is survived by her brother Don and sister Nancy; her three children Dean, Michelle and Guy; and her grandchildren Kane and Violet.
Barb had a zest for life, and loved animals and nature; but family always came first. She had a strong work ethic, with businesses in Calgary and Powell River. She loved to run, and to tend her gardens, and was a good neighbour. She was adventurous and travelled to many places around the world.
She retired in Powell River in 2014, and spent her time close to her family, and with involvement in many Powell River activities. She had a strong desire to contribute and to help others.
We would like to thank all of the people in Powell River who helped her in her journey, especially the staff of Willingdon Creek Village, who cared for her with grace and dignity in her final stage of life.
If you wish to help celebrate Barbara’s life, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice, so she can continue to contribute to the lives of others.
She will be missed.
