A transformer at Hemlock Street and Larch Avenue in City of Powell River's Townsite neighbourhood exploded twice at around 3 pm on Christmas Day. The video below shows the second burst of electricity.
As a result of the explosions, some residents were without power for 12 hours, including Stephen Miller, who captured the second incident on video and took the photo above.
