At Powell River Regional District’s regular board meeting on April 28, its board of directors agreed to write a letter to BC Transit asking that fares on the Thursday commuter bus between Powell River and Texada be reduced commensurate with reductions to BC Ferries fares on April 1, 2018.
When the ferries corporation reinstituted the full seniors discount for free passenger passage Monday to Thursdays, it was not passed on to Texada seniors who ride the community bus.
