Nicholas Simons, MLA for Powell River-Sunshine Coast, has been officially accepted as a BC New Democratic Party leadership candidate.
“I’m looking forward to meeting with members from around the province to talk about restoring confidence in politics, and about sound policies that reflect the public interest,” Simons said in a statement. “The polices I bring to the debate are based on sound research and on good consultation. We are ready to move forward in this province and will work hard to engage and fully represent everyone, from all corners of the party.”
Party members choose a new leader on April 17.
