Powell River RCMP responded to a disturbance/shots fired complaint in the 3700 block of Padgett Road on October 9.
According to a written account from detachment commander staff sergeant Rod Wiebe, given the rural nature of the area, the assistance of the conservation officer service was requested.
“A male subject was taken into custody without incident,” stated Wiebe. “I can confirm that there is no further threat to public safety.”
Wiebe stated that investigators were on scene and the investigation is continuing.
