July 9; Highway 101, north
At approximately 2:15 pm, Powell River RCMP responded to a report of an impaired driver on Highway 101 north of Powell River. The vehicle was located on Wilde Road and a traffic stop was conducted. The 51-year-old driver displayed signs of impairment so a roadside test was conducted, which resulted in a fail. He was issued an immediate roadside suspension which includes having his driving privileges suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 30 days.
