In the early morning of July 21, at approximately 4 am, Powell River RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at the Town Centre mall on Alberni Street.
Police attended and observed two male youth running inside the mall toward the exit doors that lead to the Walmart parking lot. The youth exited the mall and split up.
After a short foot pursuit, one male youth was apprehended by police and arrested for break and enter. The search for the second youth was unsuccessful and he was not located. The investigation is ongoing.
