October 16; Kemano Street
At approximately 10:09 am, Powell River RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at the music academy on Kemano Street. Witnesses observed two males, one holding a crowbar and the other holding a hammer, at a rear entrance of the building. The manager asked the males what they were doing and they stated that they were contractors. The manager told the males that no contractors had been called and they fled on foot. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a locked fence at the back of the building had been pried open.

October 15; Cranberry Street
At approximately 10:39 pm, a Powell River RCMP officer was conducting patrols and observed a vehicle with no licence plates travelling at a high rate of speed on Cranberry Street. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 21-year-old male driver. While speaking to the driver, police detected an odour of liquor. A breath sample was obtained which registered a warn. The driver was advised of his rights to a second test and chose to provide a second sample. This also registered a warn on the approved screening device. As a result, the driver was issued a three-day immediate road side prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act and the vehicle was towed for no valid insurance and registration.

October 14; Powell River
At approximately 5:17 am, a Powell River resident phoned 911 several times and during the last call, said there was a guy in his house trying to shoot him, but then said he was just kidding and hung up. Police attended and located the male resident, who was heavily intoxicated. Police determined that the male was not in distress or in any danger. The 52-year-old man was arrested for public mischief and held in detachment cells until sober.
