Powell River RCMP officers reported the following for September 6 to 12, 2023.

At approximately 6:01 pm, Powell River RCMP received a report that a male youth had attempted to pepper spray another youth who was able to run away without injury. The suspect was identified and was arrested for assault with a weapon and released to appear in provincial court. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a second male youth was present at the time of the assault and had threatened the victim. The male youth was arrested for uttering threats and released to appear in provincial court.
