BC Hydro will be conducting emergency repairs on Saturday, May 5, in City of Powell River’s Townsite area.
Some residents are expected to be without power from 9 am to 4 pm in order to ensure the safety of work crews replacing a pole recently recognized at leaning.
Approximately 285 hydro customers will be affected by the seven-hour outage, including 5375 to 6486 Hemlock Street; 5370 to 5496 Laburnum Avenue; 5354 to 5394 Larch Avenue; 6465 to 6475 Laurel Street; 5433 to 5677 Maple Avenue; 5400 to 5678 Marine Avenue; 5391 to 5400 Timberlane Avenue; 5504 to 5622 Willow Avenue; and 6327 Dogwood Street.
The work will be taking place near the Marine Avenue and Hemlock Street intersection.
BC Hydro will provide updates and requests that all residents affected turn off sensitive electronic equipment.
