Congratulations, class of 2023. As you embark on this next phase of life, I want to wish you well and good luck.

Some of you may know what is next, and for others, this will be a time for reflection and curiosity – any version of the way forward will be full of learning on your own terms.

Your road to this point has been one that has had some guardrails and checkpoints along the way – after all, you walked that stage to get a well-earned diploma! However, the way forward is one that is yours for the shaping – and taking – and I have no doubt that you will do just that.

It has been a privilege to watch you brilliantly navigate your high school years during a time that has been challenging for all ages and stages of life, not to mention a young person trying to finish high school. But your resiliency and ability to adapt will serve you, and the world, well.

Whatever is next for each one of you, remember to stay true to yourself and open to possibilities. Thank you for making us proud.
