Shortly after midnight on October 31, 2022, our beloved matriarch, Moya Pritchard (Young), slipped quietly through the gossamer curtain into the wings to prepare for her second journey with the ones who went before her.
Nanna Moya lived her long life to the fullest, always ready for a dance or a song, ever the inspiration for her family of fun-loving, talented brothers and sisters, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
From the early years spent raising children on a float house in Mowat Bay to her eventual return to Powell River after many years living and working on Vancouver Island, Moya’s life was testimony to the boundless spirit that dwelled within her. Whether building a fence or constructing a rock wall, or singing and acting on stage, Moya faced everything with a passion that shone through in her beauty.
A light has gone from our family but will be waiting to guide us when we are ready to slip through the curtain.
