Weird Toy Christmas
Euella Knox, Grade two, James Thomson Elementary School

Santa wanted the elves to work but the elves were too tired, so Santa asked kids to make presents, but the toys were weird.

The puzzles had missing pieces and the dolls had three eyes and the stuffies had no fluff.

When the kids woke up they were surprised to find that the bears had no ears.

The Christmas Mystery
Theo Hill, Grade two, Westview Elementary School

One Christmas night Santa Claus needed to deliver all his presents to Powell River. But there's just one problem, all his reindeer and elves were missing he didn't know they were. So he searched for an hour.

"It's almost Christmasn. We have seven more hours left, I need to find them quick," Santa shouted.

So he searched and searched, suddenly he saw something. An elf but no reindeer.

“We have six more hours left,” Santa said.

He checked the stable, none there, he checked the sleigh, none there, either. He went outside and heard something on the roof, reindeer hooves. He glanced up and saw the reindeer.

It was morning and all of the kids were happy because he delivered all of the presents. “Yay, yay!” the people said.

Tiffany Loves Parties
lla Robert, Grade two, Texada Elementary School

Tiffany loved parties. Parties were her favourite thing to do. She went to her friend's party, and it was a Christmas party, too.

Molly had lots of snacks - everyone loved the chocolate ice cream and said Molly did a good job. They played with snowmen and loved to eat. Molly even hosted an ice cream eating contest.

Then Mark went crazy knocking down all the snowmen because he wanted his to be the best. Suddenly the snowmen came alive and got angry. Mark said sorry and everything went back to normal.

Tiffany gave Mark some red and white rose flowers and said, “Have these. You said that you had a good time and that is all that matters. Merry Christmas.”

Mark and Molly and Tiffany went to the movies and had the best time. It was Star Wars Christmas and Tiffany was the Princess Leia in the movie. It was another great party.

The Alien Christmas
Tanner Brewer-Grain, Grade two, Westview Elementary School

One Christmas night a portal from a different dimension came into a kid’s house. The kid was not awake so we did not see the alien that came out of the portal.

The alien saw all the kid’s stuffies, so he jumped into all the stuffies and played with his Legos and hot wheels. In the morning, the alien headed into the stuffies when he heard the kid wake up. When the kid went to school, he started to play with his toys again but when he heard footsteps coming to the door, he headed in the stuffies.

When the man left, he started to play again when the kid came back from school. The alien did not hear him coming into his bedroom, and when the kid opened the door he was speechless.

After a couple minutes, he said, “how did you get here?”

The alien said nothing. The kid looked around and then he saw pieces of Lego and then he looked for his 1,000 piece Lego set but it wasn't anywhere, and then he saw pieces of the 1,000 pieces Lego set.

“What did you do to my 1,000 piece Lego set?” And the kid said, “can you please go home.”

Then the alien snapped his fingers, a portal opened up, then the alien waved goodbye, then went into the portal.

The end.
