Stevie’s Steelers coach Paul Liknes [left] and Jim Veenhof [right], who coached Powell River Villa, recently delivered proceeds from the annual Steve Steele Memorial Boxing Day charity match, which the two teams played on March 26, to Salvation Army Powell River and Powell River Action Centre Food Bank.
On hand to receive donations of $850 each were [from second left] Rosanne Fraser and Karie McQuarrie from the Salvation Army and Wayne Kuntsi from the food bank.
Snow prevented the annual event from taking place on December 26.
