Many door prizes have been donated for the rescheduled Steve Steele Memorial Boxing Day soccer match, which will take place on Saturday, March 26, at Timberlane Park, starting at 1:15 pm with a pregame ceremony.
The game pits Stevie’s Steelers, represented by captain Dave McMaster [left] and coach Paul Liknes [second from left], against Powell River Villa, represented by captain Niko Cristante [third from left] and coach Jim Veenhof [right].
Liknes and Veenhof will be honoured for their contributions to soccer in Powell River, and proceeds from the game will be donated to the local food bank and salvation army.
Admission is by donation with a suggested minimum of $5.
