A cascade of colours, fabric, art and skill will be on display during a quilt show this weekend.
Presented by Timberlane Quilters’ Guild, the bi-annual event shows what members have been doing. The guild now has over 70 members.
More than 200 quilts will be on display, including community quilts made by guild members and donated to organizations. This year’s show will feature 30 community quilts.
As well, squares of fabric are available for people to pick out to make a block. Guild members at the show put the blocks together and make a quilt. At the last show, four to five quilts were made.
There will be a boutique at the show with handmade products for sale as well as a merchants’ mall that has fabrics and threads for sale.
The quilt show takes place from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10 at Dwight Hall. Tickets are $5 at the door. Lunch will be available along with coffee and tea. There will also be a draw for a quilt, with tickets for the raffle at $2.
