Well, 2022 is pretty much wrapped up and the New Year is quickly approaching with all of its possibilities and opportunities just waiting to be revealed.
I know we’re not 100 per cent over the effects of COVID-19, and we may never be, but 2023 is primed and ready to be the first year in a while where life has the potential to resemble what we knew it to be in the past.
The pandemic challenged us and left many of us more fearful, anxious and withdrawn from society, but it didn’t knock us out. The increasing number of activities happening these days is evidence that life is on the rebound, and we can all do our part to help the recovery along.
I am a big supporter of being a part of the community you live in. With this in mind, I encourage you to get involved and help to make our community the best place to live, work and play.
Whether it is volunteering with a social club, helping organize a cultural event, joining the PAC at your kid’s school, building hiking and biking trails, or picking up trash in your neighbourhood, there are countless ways to take part.
Let’s make this a year to give of ourselves for the good of all.
