Powell River Minor Hockey Association’s U18 rep team will play for bronze at the 2021/2022 BC Hockey Tier 3 Championship tournament in Port Hardy.
In the first semi-final game on Tuesday, March 22, which started at 8 am, Terrace jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and added two more goals in the second period before Powell River responded with a goal from Dreydan Harris to cut the lead to 5-1. Mac Hein picked up an assist on the play.
Terrace made it 6-1 before intermission and scored five more goals in the third period for an 11-1 win and a spot in tonight’s final against either Mission or Nelson.
Powell River will face the loser of the second semi-final in the bronze medal game at 5 pm today.
