Surrey Eagles scored three times in the first period en route to a 4-0 win over Powell River Kings at Hap Parker Arena on Monday, January 17.
Former King Michael Abgrall accounted for two of the three goals, his 15th and 16th of the BC Hockey League (BCHL) season, after Brody Gagno opened the scoring. Jacob Slipec, who also previously spent time with the Kings, set up the fourth and final goal of the game by Grayden Slipec five minutes into the second period.
Powell River held a slight edge in shots on goal, 32-30, but were unable to solve Eagles’ goaltender Max Prazma. Zak Brice made 26 saves for the home team.
Attendance was 475.
The result came 24 hours after the Eagles skated to a 4-3 win over the Kings at the same venue.
