Game tonight versus Sunshine Coast Blues will determine who advances to championship

The 2024/2025 BC Hockey Tier 3 provincial championship tournament is being held at Cranbrook Memorial Arena.

A barrage of goals continues to be scored by Powell River U15 Kings at the BC Hockey Tier 3 provincial championship in Cranbrook.

On Wednesday, March 17, Ridge Meadows was the latest opponent to witness the offensive power of the Kings, who scored eight times in the first period en route to a convincing 14-1 win. The dominant performance was the latest in a string of lopsided results against Greater Trail, Whitehorse and Dawson Creek.

Ten different Kings scored goals versus Ridge Meadows: Kesler Brown (three), Cooper Lawry (two), James Barrows, Kooper Kozmeniuk (three), Lucas Gruntman, Reid Stekman, Carson Laing, Jack Murphy and Lucas Vizzutti. Kozmeniuk leads the 10-team tournament in scoring with 12 goals and four assists in four games.

Next up for the Kings is a matchup versus Sunshine Coast U15 Blues tonight (March 19) at 5 pm. The winner advances to the gold medal game against Whitehorse or Terrace at 11 am on Thursday, March 20. The loser will play for bronze at 8 am.
