Powell River Minor Hockey Association’s U18 rep team defeated Kerry Park 5-1 on Saturday, February 19.
Powell River led 3-0 after 40 minutes and padded the lead with a pair of goals in period two.
The Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association semi-final playoff game was played at Hap Parker Arena.
The game was the second in a week with the offence producing five goals. Powell River shut out Oceanside 5-0 in round-robin play on February 12. One week earlier, February 5, Powell River skated to a 2-2 tie with Triport in Port McNeill.
Powell River will meet Triport in a best of three final series starting next weekend.
