Powell River Kings earn shutout win over Vernon Vipers

Michael Mardula’s goal seven minutes into the first period stood up as the game winner in a 2-0 Powell River Kings win over the visiting Vernon Vipers on Saturday, November 30.

Mardula also combined with Sam Grabner to set up the insurance marker scored by Nico Bromley eight minutes into the third period at Hap Parker Arena. Rhett Hamilton and Noah Samanski assisted on the first goal.

Vincent Lamberti turned aside all 38 shots he faced to earn the shutout and first star honours ahead of Mardula (second) and Bromley (third). Attendance was 846.

Kings host Penticton Vees at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 1.
