Powell River Villa’s final game before the Vancouver Island Soccer League (VISL) winter break, scheduled for December 14 in Victoria versus Bays United, had to be postponed due to adverse weather that caused ferry cancellations.
The game will likely be played in February or March, according to Villa manager Chris McDonough.
Powell River is 10th in VISL Division 1 standings, but holds two games in hand on ninth-place Nanaimo, who they trail by four points. In what turned out to be the last game of 2024, Villa was shut out at home by Gorge on December 7.
Villa hosts Cowichan on January 18 at Timberlane Park.
