Powell River Kings have acquired forwards Kailus Green and Matthew Lee from West Kelowna Warriors via trade.
Going the other way is former Surrey Eagle Trent Wilson, who the Kings acquired on June 1 to complete the trade for forward Ethan Riesterer, which happened in September 2022.
Both Green and Lee will be entering their sophomore seasons in the BC Hockey League (BCHL) and will be important depth pieces heading into the 2023/2024 season, according to a media release from the Kings.
Green is from Kelowna and suited up for 50 games for the Warriors, collecting nine goals and six assists, while Lee hails from St. Catharines, Ontario, and had two goals and five assists in 19 games for the Eagles. Green was born in 2004, while Lee is a 2005-born player.
Green and Lee will be reunited with former teammate Alexi Van-Houtte Cachero, who played with them in West Kelowna before he was dealt to the Kings in January.
