Time on the road for Atom Kings

Powell River Atom Development Canadian Tire Kings started their Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association league play recently when they faced Campbell River A and Alberni Valley Bulldogs on two days away.

The following day’s game ended in a loss 7-6 to Port Alberni. Scoring was led by Parkhouse’s hat trick. Garrett Hollinshead scored on a powerplay with the assist going to Carter Alexander. Drew Sundberg and Gabe Shipley scored shorthanded goals halfway through the third period to tie the game but Alberni Valley capitalized with eight minutes to go to put the Bulldogs ahead.
